Bank Pekao S.A. was one of the strategic partners of the Warsaw Global Investors Summit 2025, which took place on June 10, 2025 at the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The event brought together global finance leaders, company representatives, and experts, creating a space for exchanging experiences and establishing strategic partnerships.

As part of its collaboration with the European Financial Congress, Bank Pekao S.A. took patronage over the thematic track “Poland – Investment Hub.” The CEO of Bank Pekao S.A., Cezary Stypułkowski, participated in the panel “The Friendshoring and Smartshoring Advantage: Investing in Resilient Value Chains,” dedicated to modern strategies for building resilient value chains. During the discussion, he emphasized that the current international situation will significantly impact the organization of global trade and production. This will occur, among other reasons, because companies in an uncertain market may plan their activities regionally, relying on locally or nearby available resources. The CEO of Pekao also highlighted that Europe possesses the potential, resources, and capabilities to become a significant player in the global economy.

Ernest Pytlarczyk, Chief Economist of Bank Pekao S.A., took part in the panel “From Vision to Reality: Putting Poland’s Investment Transformation into Action,” where he forecasted that the value of investments in the Polish economy could reach one trillion zlotys by 2030. A key factor in this growth will be, among others, large transformation programs implemented in various areas, especially the green transformation of the energy sector, military security, transport infrastructure, energy efficiency, digitalization, and the circular economy.

A significant highlight of the program was the presentation of the report “Poland’s moment. How it got rich, how it transforms into a smart and resilient economy,” prepared by Bank Pekao S.A. economists. The bank’s analysis team presents an optimistic vision of Poland in 10 years as a wealthier, more technologically advanced, and better-connected country. Pekao’s economists predict that Poland’s GDP per capita could exceed the level of Italy by then, and investments could reach 25% of GDP. Poland will also become a place with a higher quality of life - Poles will live on average 5 years longer, wages will reach 80% of the EU average, and the housing supply gap will be closed.

During the event, Dieter Lobnig, Vice President of Pekao Investment Banking S.A., led the panel “Poland Investment Opportunities across Asset Classes,” during which speakers analyzed investment opportunities on the Polish market. Michał Panowicz, future Vice President of the Management Board of Bank Pekao S.A., presented the case study “The Polish Banking Revolution: A Case Study in World-Class Innovation,” showcasing the Polish banking sector as an example of world-class innovation.

The Warsaw Global Investors Summit became a platform for building international economic cooperation and promoting Poland as an attractive investment destination. The participation of Bank Pekao S.A. underscored the institution’s commitment to the development of the Polish capital market and supporting the country’s economic growth.
