Bank Pekao Supports Grupa Kęty in the Acquisition of an Italian Aluminium Profiles Manufacturer
Bank Pekao S.A. has provided term financing of up to PLN 2 billion to Grupa Kęty S.A., supporting one of the largest foreign acquisitions ever undertaken by a Polish industrial company. The funds will finance the acquisition of Italy’s METRA Group, a manufacturer of advanced aluminium solutions for the construction and industrial sectors.
The acquisition is intended to strengthen Grupa Kęty’s position in the European aluminium processing market and provide access to the promising North American market. The METRA Group operates across Europe and North America, and its products are used in a wide range of industries, including construction, rail transport, transportation, and solar energy.
The transaction is aligned with Grupa Kęty’s long-term development strategy, which focuses on expanding its international presence and further strengthening its portfolio of high value-added products. The combined capabilities of the two organizations are expected to create one of Europe’s leading players in the aluminium solutions industry.
"We support clients pursuing projects that enable them to build a strong position in international markets. Grupa Kęty has consistently expanded its operations for many years and is one of Poland’s most important industrial companies. We are pleased that Bank Pekao can take part in such a significant development project, which opens up new growth opportunities and further international expansion prospects for the company," said Beata Frankiewicz-Boniecka, Director of the Strategic Clients Department at Bank Pekao S.A.
Bank Pekao has been cooperating with Grupa Kęty for many years, providing financing and comprehensive banking services to companies within the group. This transaction marks another stage in that partnership and confirms the bank’s commitment to supporting the growth of Polish companies operating in international markets.
