Bank Pekao S.A. successfully initiated and carried out another bond issue for the European Investment Bank (EIB). As part of the EIB’s debt issuance program, a tranche worth PLN 1 billion with a 7-year maturity was issued.
“We have been working closely with the EIB on the capital market for many years, and we are proud to support its needs by organizing bond issues and financing,” said Piotr Wochniak, Director of the Financial Markets Department at Bank Pekao.
The bonds will be listed on the Luxembourg and Warsaw stock exchanges.
The European Investment Bank is the financial institution of the European Union. It holds the highest AAA credit rating and is one of the largest multilateral financial institutions in the world. The EIB raises funds on capital markets and provides loans on preferential terms for projects supporting EU objectives. Around 90 percent of its lending takes place within the EU.
